“Starz Production Team” is one of Australia’s leading junior performance groups. The team was founded in 1987 by Rachelle Conroy as a performance outlet for talented children training at her family’s dance centre - “Conroy Dance Centre”, and rapidly became known as one of Australia’s finest children’s entertainment groups. Members of the team audition annually to gain their place in the team, and devote much of their spare time to rehearsals, training and performance in the commercial entertainment industry. Many of the children in the team consider a career in the entertainment industry one of their options for future employment. As members of one of Australia’s most respected and “in demand” children’s performance groups, this is not just a dream, but a very real possibility, as proven by many past members of Starz.

The team has performed extensively throughout Australia, in major shopping centres and festivals as well as for corporate functions. “Starz” members tour to the United States of America every three years where they perform at “Walt Disney World” in Florida, as well as at the “Josie Robertson Plaza” at the “Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts” in New York. Team members have workshopped with “Disney’s” entertainment staff, as well as with Broadway stars and the “Rockettes” in New York.
Past members of the team are performing internationally for companies such as “Universal Studios” – Japan, “Tokyo Disney” and “Tokyo DisneySea”, “P&O Cruiselines”, and “Royal Caribbean Cruises”. On the musical theatre stage, past and present members have appeared in 'Wicked', 'Cats', 'The Lion King', 'Shout', 'We Will Rock You', 'Les Miserables', 'Annie', 'Singing In The Rain', 'The Jolson Story', 'Wizard Of Oz', 'Grease – The Arena Spectacular', 'Saturday Night Fever', 'The Sound Of Music', 'Fiddler On The Roof', 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' and many more. Members have also appeared in movies such as 'Moulin Rouge' and 'The Mask 2'.
Young members of our performance team are also featured on the QTQ9 television production 'New MacDonalds Farm', produced by Pacific & Beyond. This series is choreographed by Rachelle Conroy.
